Wings Over Wausau Airshow​

Wausau Events, in partnership with Brickner's of Wausau & CoVantage Credit Union  is excited to bring back Wings Over Wausau for 2024!

Join us for kid's games and activities, bounce houses, zip lines, a full petting zoo, car show, drone & RC demonstrations, Static plane displays, Pilot Meet & Greets, food vendors, live entertainment and more! The event will feature a professional day airshow both days, along with a professional night airshow leading into the area's LARGEST fireworks show both nights!

We're excited to announce that the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team will be part of our 2024 Airshow lineup this year!

​Entering the Event:

Event Entrances will be Emerson Street & Elmwood Blvd gates (Main Gate). Please see the map for information on entering.

$5 Entry fee per person - children 12 & under are FREE! We will be taking both cash & credit card for the gate fee!

Parking:

Parking is located along Southeast Side Neighborhood streets

Airport Park is used for Handicap parking only!​

Event Shuttle:

There will be a shuttle running between Downtown Wausau & the Wausau Airport on Saturday, June 22nd from 11 AM to 11 PM. This shuttle will also drop off & pickup attendees from local hotels. Click here to see the shuttle map. 

Event Grounds:

The entire event area has been expanded for our 2024 event to allow attendees to get up close and personal with the airplanes, pilots, drones and other activities. Please follow all signage and direction from event staff to ensure the safety of all in attendance. View our map!

Chairs:

Lawn chairs or blankets are permitted and highly encouraged for this event. There will be many areas for families to gather and explore once inside the airport grounds. Tents of any kind are not permitted.

Food & Drink:

Local food vendors will be present at the event, with beverages sold from vendors and under the main beverage tent. Carry-ins are not allowed at this event. Coolers with ice are accepted into the event grounds. Backpacks & bags are subject to inspection.

Credit Cards:

Card payments are accepted for all beverage purchases, and most food vendors accept them as well. There will be an ATM on site if you need to take out cash at the event. (2.5% CC Fee applies)

Exiting the Event:

To ensure a safe experience for all in attendance, local authorities will be directing traffic at the end of the night. 

If you will depart the event via Sturgeon Eddy, you will be directed North on Grand Avenue.

If you will depart the event via Lakeview Drive, you will be directed South on Grand Avenue.

Other streets will be instructed to wait until these streets are cleared from event traffic. Click HERE for a map!
